It was during the Montreal Olympic Games 1976 that she had one of the most memorable sporting moments of all time - - the first-ever perfect 10, on the asymmetrical bars. In the following years, she was able to score an additional six perfect 10s which made her the most youthful Olympic all-around gold medalist at just 14. Nadia Comaneci has not only been the focus of attention everywhere but also helped Romania in gaining a place in the world map. The sporting icon made her a world-wide sensation after she scored a record-breaking performance. The legend she created was legendary as well as helped make gymnastics a popular sport all over the world. The sport changed the way people view female gymnasts. It was because of the effect she made during the Olympics in the same way that both move toe-on (toes on) and release are named after her.
