Silk is the daughter of Peter Silk a professor and Ilkay, an actor director instructor of playwrights and producers, as well as Director of the Drama department at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Annas early memories involve seeing her mother work during the play-rehearsals. Silk played a role as a youngster in many commercials. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Arts from St. Thomas University in 1997.
