Cornish was awarded her first Screen Actors Guild Award with her last film. Betty Gilpin.........................American actress Betty Gilpin was fortunate to have both of her parents be professional actors. Jack Gilpin, star of Adventureland 2009 and a host of others, is her father. Ann McDonough was her mother. Betty Gilpin made a decision to go into acting because she had the support and love of her parents. Fordham College became her choice for her college as it helped her develop and develop the abilities she needed to become a professional actress. Gilpin auditioned, and then began to perform off-Broadway in shows after she graduated. Gilpin was cast as on NBC's Law & Order: Criminal Intent between 2001 and 2011, then smaller part on Ghost Town (2008), and The Northern Kingdom (2009). The character of Dr. Carrie Roman Gilpin appeared in 34 episodes of the series before Nurse Jackie concluded its run in June 2015.
