Anya Volz is a New York City-based comic originally born in Vermont. Many men in America have described her style as hilarious, yet not overly preposterous. She is the daughter of Dennis Alan Taylor, a ex-bank executive, and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist, she is half English and half Spanish. The daughter is an Argentinean of Scottish, English and Argentinean descendance. Her mother's ancestral lineage is Spanish and English. Four of her siblings belong to her father's ex-married partners. They lived in Buenos Aires until she was six then relocated to the Victoria region of London. According to Taylor-Joy, the removal was extremely difficult for her and she refused to master English with the intention of moving back to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she was required to attend following her departure from Northlands. In the following year, she joined Queen's Gate School to study ballet as well as perform in productions of the school. After she turned 16, she quit school in order to take on a full-time job in acting. Taylor-Joy was a child actress and was sure she would eventually become an actor. The realization of her dreams came when Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a modeling job.
